"Creating the Perfect Bru" The CD Tutorial has been written for the
CDW 201 Bru 14 and the VL 7 Bru 13. Several size choices of heads
are available for the online class.
You must have access to a kiln to do this project. Requirements for
this webinar are broken down into three components: the CD Tutorial
$50.00, the greenware or softfire heads (prices vary according to size),
and the 8 live webinar sessions ($10.00 each for a total of $80.00), all
must be purchased from Land of Oz Dolls.. Note: If you have already
purchased the Bru CD and a head from me it is not necessary to purchase
again, you will only be charged for the webinar classes. The CD and a
Bru head must be purchased prior to the first class. The 8 webinar
sessions may be split into two payments with $40.00 being paid at the
start of the first set of sessions and the remaining $40.00 at the start
of the 2nd set.
Credit card numbers can be put on file with Land of Oz Dolls or you may also be billed thru Paypal, whichever you would prefer. CD Tutorials are step by step comprehensive photos and directions put on CD of the complete process from eye-cutting thru soft-fire greenware cleaning, and all the china paint firings. The CD Tutorial requires Adobe Reader on your computer to open it.(This is not a video) You may study and paint from the clear concise photos on your computer or print off the workbook for a hard copy. Please realize the clearest photos will be on your computer. Six two-hour live sessions will be scheduled on Monday nights from 7:30 to 9:30 PM CST. The first class is scheduled for Monday night Nov. 2. If this time frame does not work for you because of the difference in time zones or personal schedules please let me know because I will start an additional class on Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 to 3:00 PM CST starting Nov.3. Connie will be the only one with video and audio capabilities but you will have access to asking live text questions and be allowed to interact with the other students. If you are unable to attend a class, don't worry because each session will be recorded. After the session closes you will receive an email with the link to the
recorded class that you may watch whenever it is convenient for you.
You may also schedule 2 private individual 1/2 hour sessions at a time convenient for you. These will be for critique and question and answer where you will be able to vocally ask questions and communicate directly with Connie. (For these you must have a microphone and head set) Otherwise phone conversations will be scheduled. You may submit good quality photos of your work before the private sessions for a valuable critique. Private sessions may be scheduled for anytime during the two month time frame of the classes. Plus you will have an additional two weeks after the end of the classes to schedule your private sessions. After this time we will be going on to another class.
To participate in the live webinar your internet service must be DSL or Cable. Dial-up service will not produce satisfactory results. If you have Dial-up, live webinars will be recorded and sent to you on CD. You will be charged for postage to send the CD after each class.
Bodies, wigs, eyes, shoes, socks, stands, costume patterns and fabric kits will be available for purchase at special discounted prices for online students.
Classes are scheduled to start Monday night Nov. 2nd with eyecutting. You may start after that date, you will receive the recorded webinars from the beginning.
