French Buds 'N Bows - 100% silk ribbon made on the old machines this trim can be used in endless ways. I use it on on very expensive French costuming. Use this trim on crazy quilts, ladies blouses and children's clothes. There are a lot of "knock off" to be found but they are usually made from 100% polyester ribbons. There is only one 100% silk Buds 'N Bows and we have them. Here are some of the the most popular colors.

Now you can make your own! This book by Helen Gibb has wonderful illustrations that make it simple. The loose leaf form lays flat on a surface which enables you to follow instructions easily.

I’ve also enclosed some pictures of my own ribbon work using her ideas, instructions and adding my own style.
